Before we are handed over the SEO Marketing responsibility for a particular site, the potential client is often interested to know certain things regarding our services. Certain common queries have been answered here, to let you have a glimpse of the services we are engaged with. The rapid fire round goes here…

1. A brief about your expertise and experience in SEO Marketing.

Ans: We are in SEO business for over 12 years, although our SEO department is just one year old. We have a team of skilled SEO professionals with minimum of 2 years of hard-core SEO experience. Our project managers have over 9 years of SEO and Internet Marketing experience. So you can consider we have minimum of 2 years and maximum of 9 years of SEO experience. We do not manage Adwords campaigns for our client, instead we offer more economic and long run benefiting Organic SEO, and our skills include enhancing site usability, on-page factors, link building, content development, social media, blogs, forums, etc.

2. Do you think our site might need redesign to achieve better ranking? What phrases do you think we should be targeting?

Ans: The necessity of redesigning depends on your site’s requirement. If required, small alterations and additions should be done for effective enhancement of on-page factors and hence, a long term stability. We follow the actual philosophy of a good search engine, which is, “a search engine will love a website if its users love it”. It is the on-page factors that can make a site friendly to both human and search engines. Hence, the rule is to optimize a website primarily for humans, then for the robots. For this we study the industry trend and the nature of the target market.

3. What’s your SEO experience, both in English and non-English sites?

Ans: Most of our clients, we have worked with in these few years of our SEO journey, are from the US, UK, Australia, Canada and India. Although we haven’t really worked for a non-English website, our team has experts who have a bit of idea in making the non-English sites search engine-friendly. In this context, we would like to mention that we have considerable SEO experience in non-English website – Italian Website was optimized for Google. It was for Italian key phrases.

4. What is the most obvious failure that you find in your SEO service? How you handle them?

Ans: The common and obvious failure with SEO is not been able to ALWAYS guarantee #1 ranking on the search engine’s result pages. We learned that we should explain some of our clients why an SEO cannot manipulate the algorithm of a search engine. They should understand that web robots cannot be manipulated. What is more important is making the site important in the eyes of the search engines so that it gets up in ranking and eventually gains the top slots for the relevant keywords.

5. What are the most important SEO techniques that you follow?

Ans: We follow only White Hat SEO techniques. By saying this, we mean that the most effective SEO technique is the link building process, where NATURAL and RELEVANT links are fetched from trusted sources. We still believe that “Content is The King”. Most robots come for good content. We stress on that too. Cleaning the SEO blockades and resolving the issues (for example code errors, JS errors, URL structuring problems, image optimization, etc) are given special importance.

6. What is the process that your SEO firm maintain in keeping its SERP position higher? How do you comply with the new Google Panda & Penguin guidelines?

Ans: We would define it as an Effective and Ethical Process. Any good SEO firm has to comply with Panda and Penguin if they do not want to lose their foothold in the SERP. Every single person of our SEO team is well aware of what can be slapped by Panda and/or Penguin. While answering how we comply with the new Google Panda & Penguin guideline, we will mention a few points here:

  • Content duplication is strictly avoided
  • Only informative, valuable & original content preferred over thin content
  • Bad backlinks are penalized. Link building process should be natural and from good, high PR sites
  • Cloaking, hidden text, hidden links, broken link, orphaned pages are eliminated
  • Keyword stuffing and spamming are always avoided
  • Link floating, link wheeling are not practiced
  • We make sure that the issue of huge volume of doorway pages do not arise
  • Strong internal navigation hierarchy is maintained
  • Unique meta attributes are maintained for all page contents
  • Derivatives are given preference over the keyword related links
  • Links from trusted, quality range of sources are maintained to result quality and effective backlinking

7. How can I communicate with you regarding the SEO service? Will you consult with me in making any changes to my site, and provide detailed information about your recommendations and the reasoning behind them?

Ans: After you award us the project, we can communicate with you through emails or chat over the Skype. Our SEO campaign starts off with making a detailed SEO audit, where our senior analyst team would make an in-depth analysis of every parts of your website. Based on the audit, we give our expert recommendation for the changes wherever required. We will send you the set of reports of auditing for approval. After we receive the final approval from your end, we start the on-page work. Site audit and reporting usually takes around 4-6 business days, depending on the size of the website, because of the time taken for double check and the review/s made by the appointed Project Manager.

8. I understand that Link Building is Important. Please describe your process?

Ans: Link building is not important. “Effective link building” is important. By “Effective link building”, we mean generating good quality link from good, relevant and non-competing websites. Our link building process includes getting in-bound links through article marketing, directory submission, social bookmarking, guest posting, Forum, etc.

9. Let’s say you’ve worked for 6 months for a site for SEO marketing and yet there is no visible improvement. How would you diagnose the problem?

Ans: In 6 months, improvement is guaranteed! However, if there’s no improvement, we would plan to re-analyze our strategies for that particular site. We may re-formulate fresh plan of action based on what we have already done and what the site actually needs. However, we usually keep analyzing the competitors and trends constantly, and make subtle changes in our move, if necessary.

10. Do you provide the details of the people who are undertaking the SEO project?

Ans: We can give you the detailed description of the relevant experiences of those people who would be assigned with your project.

11. What is the guarantee that your work offers?

Ans: We understand how search engines work. We stay away from Black Hat SEO techniques. We guarantee development in your position in the SERPs and generation of relevant traffic, which is most important for generating real revenue for your business.
